What you would do as Marketplace Executive EMEIA
To help us reach our ambitious targets for e-Business, we are looking for a Marketplace Executive to join the central team within EMEIA to help us drive growth within our regions. Reporting to the Marketplace Manager EMEIA, this is a fantastic opportunity if you are keen to take the next step in your e-commerce and online trading career, as you’ll play a key role in accelerating sales for online marketplaces.
Working collaboratively with our regions, you will help us to create and deliver marketplace strategies for new and existing channels, support product launches and help us to identify opportunities for growth and expansion in this area. We work with a variety of marketplace channels throughout the division, using varying 1st party, 3rd party and hybrid models.
The ideal candidate will have some online marketplace and/or direct to consumer channel experience, but key to the role is strong commercial understanding and a willingness to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in with all things online marketplaces, to help us achieve growth. To be successful, you should have a solid understanding of web trading skills and be open to learning and getting involved.
Your core responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Support regions with creating and executing on their online marketplace and 3rd party online retail strategies
- Analyse and audit current market positions to understand and highlight growth opportunities across the division
- Gather and define requirements for new product and campaign launches and take responsibility for reporting on outcomes and overall performance
- Coach and guide regions on how to trade channels successfully with a commercially focused approach
- Develop case studies and best practices across all channels, ensuring products are displayed consistently well across all online touchpoints
- Develop and maintain trading reports and have regular touch points with regions to monitor and drive performance, providing contextual data and analysis to support and achieve sales targets
- Act as one of the EMEIA E-Business Champions
The skills and experience you need
We believe the ideal candidate should demonstrate the following skills:
- Experience working with marketplaces and/or D2C channels with an understanding of how to manage sales performance
- Preferably some exposure/experience in trading products on Amazon through either a seller or vendor model, or working with other third-party marketplaces
- Strong understanding of direct-to-consumer marketing and content
- Experience in implementing e-Business strategy and driving both internal and external adoption (and preferably B2C)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate numerical data and analytical findings into actionable recommendations & meaningful insights to improve Trading performance.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Ability to identify and flag issues or identify improvements
In addition, you’ll be a self-starter who is comfortable working in a dynamic and challenging environment. You’ll also need to be detail orientated and able to respond quickly and prioritise accordingly. Strong interpersonal skills will serve you well, as you’ll want to build strong relationships to succeed.
As our common business language, fluency in spoken and written English is essential (additional language skills are highly advantageous). A willingness to travel within the EMEIA region (and occasionally beyond) is required.
