Job description
CrossCountry are looking to recruit First Class Hosts to join our busy team in Leeds on a 12 month contract basis.
A training salary of £21,981pa (based on 35hour week) rising to £23,865pa (based on a 38hour week) for a First Class Host once you have completed your training.

As a First Class Host you will be at the frontline of our business ensuring our customers receive a great journey on our trains.
Our most successful colleagues onboard our trains have strong customer service or sales backgrounds and come from a variety of industries and sectors including retail, hospitality and catering.
The role will involve selling refreshments and also offering complimentary refreshments to our First Class customers.
If you can show an ability to communicate at all levels, a strong face to face customer service ethos and the ability to work to a high standard, consistently, we might be the business for you!
As an outgoing and confident person, you will interact with passengers through the train and be expected to work closely with other colleagues, both on the train and at the local offices.
What are the key ingredients for success in the job?
Flexibility
The job will require you to work early mornings or later into the evening and this will involve weekend working.
Great communication skills
Being able to talk to customers, sell additional products and handle difficult situations are all part of the job.
Standards
Maintaining the company image through great uniform standards, following the business procedures and going the extra mile for the customer.
Personality
We don’t want robots, we do want personality and commitment to do a good job.
Results focused
Ensuring you can hit your sales or service targets are vital and achieve your personal objectives.
Location
Living within 1 hour’s commute of the location you wish to work in is essential. Due to the hours and days you will be working you must be able to get to and from work for an early morning start or a late evening finish.
