About this opportunity
The Multimedia Designer will be a part of the TC Content Solutions Creative Department and will report to the Creative Director. The Multimedia Designer will execute marketing materials, digital & motion design, as well as traditional layout and design across multiple accounts. This person must provide a consistent level of continuity by linking creative objectives and subsequent content across multiple programs. Manages and maintains creative excellence by continuously delivering creative solutions that are on brand, target and strategy. This is a Maternity Leave contract of up-to 18 months with the possibility of full-time.
What you will do
- Conceptualize and design creative content for print, digital and social media;
- Design of marketing materials;
- Presentation design;
- Work in a cross-functional team to bring content to life;
- Lead on some projects and support on other projects, the person will have to have the ability to do both;
- Present work to team members and clients;
- Support and contribute to a healthy and safe work environment by following all workplace regulations, policies, and initiatives, including reporting all first aid injuries, accidents, and workplace hazards.
- A diploma/degree in graphic design;
- 5-10 years of working industry experience;
- A strong design portfolio with relevant work samples, showcasing your thinking and skills;
- Software skills: Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere Pro and MS PowerPoint;
- Mac proficient;
- Illustration skills, digital and traditional;
- Storyboarding experience for video/motion;
- A keen eye for composition, typography, colour and contemporary aesthetics;
- Print, digital and motion design experience;
- Experience with designing for the most common social media channels (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, etc.);
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, team player;
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously;
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines;
- Strong problem-solving skills;
- Detail-oriented;
- Excellent organizational and time management skills;
- Retail flyer graphic design experience an asset;
- Packaging design experience an asset;
- UI/UX design skills an asset.
