So what is the role?
You will be responsible for carrying out tasks throughout the factory safely, within product security parameters, to the highest quality level, while achieving required productivity and spoilage targets.
Responsibilities of the role include:
- Ensuring the machines operate in accordance with all Occupational Health, Safety and Environment (OHSE) requirements.
- Participate in the creation of and follow all safe systems of work and risk assessments.
- Report any OHSE issues immediately to your line manager.
- Actively promote a positive OHSE culture, through leading by example.
- Hold responsibility in achieving a high standard of 7S amongst all areas of the production process and embed the standards into the organisational culture.
- Ensure all Product Security procedures are followed within the process.
- Ensure the area has the required level of consumables to ensure operation at maximum efficiency.
- Ensure your area operates to all process control standards indicated by the company.
- Escalate any alterations or inefficiencies which indicate deviations to standard to the relevant stakeholders.
- Record daily production related activity as applicable.
- Support problem solving and RCA activities.
- Support Maintenance when working on reactive and preventative duties.
- Assist in the continuous improvement of the process.
- Deliver training, as required, to achieve a high level of competency amongst production employees in accordance with the requirements of the training matrix and continuous improvement processes for existing procedures and work instructions
- Train to the required standard and pass assessment in the relevant areas including; Counting (mandatory), Warehouse, Pre-Press, Print MSW and Sheeter QC.
What skills and qualifications will you need?
As the successful candidate for this role, you will work collaboratively with key stakeholders and demonstrate both excellent communication and time management skills. You will have an understanding of lean manufacturing principles and preferably have previous manufacturing experience.

As such, CCL Secure is an accredited Living Wage employer. The salary for this role will be up to £28,500 (plus 15% Shift Allowance) depending on relevant experience. In addition to this we offer performance related pay and quarterly performance bonus so the ability to directly affect your reward is entirely in your hands.
Additionally, you will be given 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays) working 12 hour shift system.
We offer a great salary sacrifice pension where the company will match up to 9% of your contribution; income protection and a death in service benefit of four times your salary.
