Our summer internship programme gives a taste of solving practical quant problems. We cover everything from rates, FX, inflation, hybrids, credit, sustainability, and xVA through machine learning, micro-services, automation, and cloud.

What to Expect

Our ten week Summer Internship programme is designed to provide you with a unique insight into banking. Starting off with a week of technical training, you’ll gain a deep understanding of our products and markets. Then armed with this knowledge, you will have the opportunity to join our Quant Team.

Quant technology touches every part of our organisation from our traders displaying pricing, placing trades, and hedging, through to our risk managers analysing risk, profitability, and capital. Quant technology is integral to what we do and it’s why we invest so much in developing state of the art solutions to accelerate the business. Our Quant team work directly with traders supporting them and the trading platforms. We cover all products across Rates, FX, Credit, Equity, Hybrids, xVA, and build many of the pricing and risk core systems.

As a part of your internship, You’ll work on a specific quant project, that could involve advanced mathematics (stochastic calculus, PDEs, etc) or new algorithms, but in every case will involve implementation of a prototype. You will have the opportunity to learn from some of the best quants and technologists in the industry. You will also be allocated a buddy and mentor to make sure you have all the support you need to fulfil your potential and deliver on your project.

Our Summer Internship Programme acts as a pipeline for our full time Analyst programme and a successful summer intern may receive an offer to join our full time Analyst Programme the following year.
