Job description
While on your placement you will work closely with sub-contractors to ensure that all needs of a project are met to a high standard. You will also effectively manage relationships with various stakeholders to ensure minimising costs and maximising values are received.
On your placement year at JN Bentley will:
- Manage all costs relating to projects
- Agree and report final accounts on both the financial and contractual status of schemes
- Assist with maintaining our world class safety culture – through the production of critical designs, health and safety documentation, O&M manuals and commissioning plans

Candidate Specification
- Working towards a degree in Quantity Surveying is preferred
- We are keen to review applications from individuals that are organised, excellent with numbers and have keen interest for the inner workings of civil engineering and construction projects
- Confidence, motivation, plus the ability to handle multiple tasks and problem-solve
- Environmental and contractual awareness
- Excellent commercial awareness
- Strong organisational, numerical, financial and communication skills
- A positive attitude with the ability to work under pressure
