The Opportunity


Motor Claims Handler
Full Time – Permanent (35 hours)
Location: Halifax
Starting Salary £20,000 + excellent benefits


Shifts: Shift Rotation between 8am and 6pm; Monday – Friday (whilst current shifts finish at 6pm we can give notice to change so shifts finish at 8pm as our operating hours are 8am-8pm). You will also be expected to work 1 in 4 Saturdays, if working a Saturday, you will get given a day off during the week instead.


Once your training has been completed and you are at the level required within the role there is opportunity for you to be able to work 1 day in the office per week and the rest working from home (additional to this everyone is expected to work in the office on Tuesdays).

Training: Initial training will be conducted in the brand-new Halifax office
(5 weeks classroom plus 4 weeks academy. Monday to Friday. 09:00 – 17:00)

If you are successful after an initial telephone interview you will be invited to attend one of our open evenings/days in the brand-new Halifax office to meet your potential colleagues and employers.
(The dates these will be held; Thursday 2nd Feb, Saturday 4th Feb and Tuesday 7th Feb 2023).
This will be a great opportunity for you to look around your potential workspace and ask any questions you may have.
As well as an introduction to RSA you will then be invited for a Face-to-Face interview with one of the hiring managers.

A little about what we’re looking for

We’re on the lookout for Motor Claims Handlers based at our Halifax site. An excellent opportunity if you fancy a new challenge in your claims handling career or even if you’re just starting out. So, what can you bring to the party?

Well, a few things would help:
  • Passionate about delivering great customer service. You’re the first point of contact with our customer when they need help
  • Provide solutions efficiently and professionally, and with empathy
  • You’ll relish chatting to people and building excellent relationships by phone or email. Good communications skills, excellent time management and computer literacy are major pluses
  • Previous customer service experience advantageous but not essential as full training is provided
  • Following successful completion of your induction you will work in a blended environment of office and at home
