About the role
We are looking for an experienced Motion Designer / Animator to lead all motion-based projects across all Product, Marketing, Brand and Sales. They would report into our Head of Design and as well as being responsible for all of our motion and animation outputs, there are also times they will be managing external agencies and contractors when additional capacity is required or specialist disciplines are called for on a project.
Other responsibilities include:
- Motion design and animation lead with a strong conceptual and creative approach to lead promotions, campaigns and product launches
- Create a variety of high-quality motion designs and animations for all media; overseeing their implementation from brainstorming through to testing and bug fixing.
- Create sketches for new animations based on design briefs.
- Develop storyboards for projects.
- Design and develop open file assets.
- Edit video footage and adding effects/elements to enhance motion graphics.
- Close collaboration with graphics designers and wider marketing community
- Complete fast turnaround projects on time, whilst ensuring quality.
What we would like you to have
Besides an entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to deal with constant change, we would like you to have:
- Strong conceptual and creative design, art direction experience.
- A comprehensive understanding of Adobe software (e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects & InDesign) and Cinema 4D preferred.
- Experience in web-based interactive and immersive design (Lottie and/or WebGL) a plus.
- Character animation experience both 2D and 3D.
- Experience in video editing.
- Highly creative, organized, and able to work independently with little direction; ability to multitask.
- Great communication skills and a collaborative team player in a cross-cultural and cross-functional environment.
- Fluent business English (speech and written).
- Ability to prioritise and manage tight deadlines.
- Enthusiasm for a fast-growing, fast changing-environment.
- Good verbal, written communication and presentation skills.
- Show reel/website to display their motion skills.
