Bosworth Independent College is a relatively small college of approximately 300 students. This enables us to offer a supportive family atmosphere, where students and staff can enjoy their work and thrive as valued people and professionals. We are currently looking to appoint a morning catering assistant to join the catering team at Bosworth Independent College. You will be working with a large team who provide a five star catering service to our students and staff. You will be helping with the service of breakfast and lunch, working under the direction of our Head Chef. The role is available 8am until 2pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. We also have an evening catering assistant role 4.30pm until 7.30pm Monday to Friday and both roles can be taken by the same person if desired. Overtime is available in both roles.
OVERVIEW OF THE JOB
Main duties for the Kitchen Assistant will include:
Day to day cleaning of canteen and kitchen to a high standard.
Assisting chef on food preparation.
Assist with deliveries to ensure they are put away correctly.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB

To be mindful of the need to ensure all College students and staff receive a high level of food production and balanced diet accordance to the government legislation (Food Policy in Schools)
To promote the good name of the College through conduct towards students, parents, agents and other parties, and attendance at College events (consistent with the Staff and Personal Tutor Handbooks).
To adhere at all times to College standards (consistent with the Staff Handbook).
To provide general support and cover across the organisation as required.
To be mindful at all times of health and safety requirements (consistent with the Staff Handbook)
