The role involves monitoring of wards and departmental areas to ensure compliance with the National Standards of Cleanliness for Healthcare environments, using an electronic auditing system to ensure that hygiene standards are always maintained. If any maintenance/nursing/equipment issues found raise with relevant department Spot checks to ensure cleanliness issue have been rectified within the agreed timeframe. Results spread sheet to be updated to the Hotel Services Manager on a weekly basis. Linen Services Participation in quarterly and annual stock take of staff uniforms. Monitoring of the Contracted Linen Supplier to ensure compliance with specification. Catering Participating in the auditing of Patient Food delivery service from main/ward kitchen to patients these will include quality, temperature, and taste testing. The programme of audits is compiled for the Hotel Services Manager responsible for overseeing Catering. Ensure that any breach in standards is reported promptly to your line Manager. Liaise with catering staff and take appropriate action to advise, resolve and rectify any shortfalls as necessary. Responsibility of associated work streams within the Hotel Services Department. Assist with processing of invoices for all sections under Hotel Services Department To undertake competency training of new starters in both the catering, ward hosts and cleaning functions.
