Job description

Our client is a growing hospitality software organization dedicated to improving productivity in the hospitality industry through software and consultancy.

They are seeking a highly skilled Mobile Application Developer to develop, support, test, and create application programming interfaces (APIs) to ensure an excellent user experience.

The successful candidate will work with popular operating system environments like iOS and Android while taking into account UI and UX principles when creating applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop new features and user interfaces to ensure the best performance and user experience of the application.
  • Fix bugs and performance problems.
  • Write clean, readable, testable code of the highest quality.
  • Keep up to date with terminology, concepts, and best practices for coding mobile apps.
  • Cooperate with the rest of the Development team to discuss client requirements and constantly innovate app functionality and design.
  • Use and adapt existing web application for apps.
  • Influence using your knowledge and advice about application architecture and the newest mobile technologies.
  • Ensure new and legacy applications meet quality standards and compliant with ISO 27001.

Qualifications, Experience, Skills, Key Competencies, and Personal Qualities:

  • Proficiency in C#, Xamarin and .NET MAUI and/or Kotlin and Swift.
  • Extensive knowledge of mobile app development and the entire application lifecycle (concept, design, test, release, and support).
  • Extensive knowledge of the mobile platforms on which the app runs, e.g., Android, iOS, etc.
  • Proficiency with writing automated tests in (which library we use).
  • Experience with profiling and debugging mobile applications.
  • Strong knowledge of architectural patterns.
  • Familiarity with push notifications.
  • Understanding of mobile app design guidelines on each platform and being aware of their differences

Package:

  • Circa 50-55k basic salary depending on experience.
  • Full or Part-time Minimum of 3 days.
  • Flexible working.
  • Location: Mainly remote, with occasional travel to office (Banbury/ Birmingham).
