With our headquarters in London, Chester and Los Angeles, the Equals Group comprises of three business lines and brands - Equals Money, FairFX and CardOneMoney. About the role
A Data Analyst at the Equals Group is an innovative and critical thinker dedicated to producing accurate and timely insights for a wide range of stakeholders across the organisation. Confident in their ability to work with a variety of data sources they seek to drive business impact through data-driven decision making.
Working closely with other analysts and in the Data Science team, they will work on both projects and rapid response requests. A key requirement of the role is to be able to prioritise across competing priorities, while managing stakeholder expectations.
As a valued member of the Data Science team, they will seek to continually develop their technical skillset and business acumen, as well as helping to develop their colleagues and build the team.
About you

Responsibilities
- Work with our Data Analysts to serve the BI and reporting requirements of the business
- Be an advocate for the role of data in decision making to increase revenue or reduce cost-to-serve
- Interpret and analyse business problems, using data from a wide range of sources
- Visualise data and create reports
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the business
- Communicate results and ideas to key decision makers
Accountabilities
- Take ownership of a suite of key business reports and ensure they are delivered in a timely and accurate manner
- Work on the Data Analysis reactive requests backlog and liaise with associated stakeholders
Essential Skills
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to prioritise multiple competing tasks
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- A business mindset
- A knack for statistical analysis and data visualisation
- Good knowledge of SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL and Transact-SQL)
- Experience in querying relational databases
- Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics or similar business experience

Desirable Skills
- Working knowledge of AWS Quicksight (or similar data visualisation tools)
- Python experience (particularly using Pandas, Numpy, Scikit-Learn, Seaborn, Matplotlib)
