Job title: Mig Welder (Late Shift)
Reports to: Welding Team Leader
Overview of the role
He-Man Dual Controls Ltd is looking to appoint a Mig Welder.
The shift pattern for this role is permanent late shift 14:00 – 22:30
Training period will be required during He-Man core hours (07:30-16:00 Mon-Thur, 07:30-15:00 Fri) this may take up to 6 months.
Working at our production facility in Southampton, the successful applicant must be able to work by themselves.
As a MIG Welder you will need to follow the full welding process, which will involve a lot of jig work, as well as using measuring instruments. You will need to read and understand workshop drawings to enable you to set up jobs. It will be important to pay close attention due to the critical nature of the job. Previous experience is not necessary as full training will be given.
The successful candidate will require a good eye for detail and be technically minded to help with reading drawings and understanding how the final product should look. An enthusiastic, can-do attitude, an understanding of H&S procedures and the ability to follow clear instructions is essential and must have personal attributes in line with the company’s Core Employee characteristics (details below).
The right candidate may not have any Welding experience but will show the right attitude, drive and willingness to learn and will be taught all the skills required.
The ideal candidate would be a self-motivated, detail oriented and adaptable individual that remains calm under pressure.
Manual handling of parts bins is a requirement of this role.
Responsibilities

Hours of work
Monday – Thursday: 14:00 to 22:30
Friday: 13:00 to 20:30
30 mins lunch - total of 39 hrs per week

Salary: £12.50-£15.30 per hour
