The role
Hyve are looking for a talented, highly creative and detail-oriented Mid-Weight Graphic Designer to join the Creative team full time to work across the Retail, Manufacturing & Engineering (RME) portfolio of events. The Mid-Weight Graphic Designer will work on the creation of designed assets for both print and digital, including (but not limited to) adverts, social media, GIFs, banner graphics, email graphics and installation graphics.

- Work closely with the Head of Creative and Creative Project Manager on the creation of designed assets for the RME portfolio of events across digital and print formats.
- Fulfil digital graphic needs for a number of marketing mediums including websites, digital media, social media, presentations and video.
- To have excellent brand and design awareness, actively being considered including colours, branding, typography, layout and messaging.
- Elevate the design of creative output to drive improved engagement and commercial performance.
- Fluent in creating or manipulating printed collateral such as brochures, flyers, invites and other multi-page documents.
- Have strong typographical skills to be able to design original logos and create logo suites.
- Prep print and digital files for accurate production across various channels.
- Support on ad-hoc creative projects as set out by the Head of Creative and Creative Project Manager.
Skills Required
Skills & Experiences
- 3+ years’ previous experience as a Graphic Designer.
- Driven, curious, enthusiastic and determined.
- Strong creative eye and ‘taste’ level.
- Expert knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, After Effects). Premiere Pro a plus, not required.
- Ability to design thoughtfully while still meeting deadlines.
- Experience in optimising photography for digital and print design, such as image retouching/colour correction, and photo manipulation.
- Proven experience of working in fast-paced medium-sized organisations, where everyone is hands on and where the focus is on getting the job done to a consistently brilliant standard.
- Ability to interpret design and communication briefs and follow brand guidelines.
- An understanding of digital channels, best practice UX and the mobile customer journey.
- Understanding of typography and knowledge of printing/digital design processes.
- An excellent communicator, ability to work as part of a team.
- Working in a demanding, fast paced environment, on multiple projects often at different stages, where the ability to prioritise is critical to success.
