Description
Job Title: Microsoft Pre-Sales Consultant
Reports to: Technical Director
Department: Sales, Softwerx
Location: Cambridge / East of England / Hybrid working
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm
Salary: Starting at £50,000
We provide outsourced managed services, deployment and migration projects as well as support services to a wide variety of clients using a Microsoft centric technology stack. We are looking to fill several pre-sales positions to directly support the sales team by working closely with our project delivery, security operations and marketing teams.
If you have experience in a pre-sales role working closely with solution design teams or have experience delivering Microsoft 365 related projects and can define and present a solution proposal to clients at all levels this could be the position for you.
As a Microsoft Gold partner we invest heavily in training and provide the time and support for you to achieve accreditations in multiple Microsoft product areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical pre-sales to clients by working closely with sales and project teams to deliver scoping workshops and presentations.
- Assist the sales & marketing teams in articulating our products and services to both technical audiences and business leaders.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and clients at all levels.
- Accurately scope, define and price project work.
- Provide insight and update training with the sales and technical teams.
Essential Skills
- The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
- A natural communicator with strong presentation skills who can communicate effectively with senior management, business users and technical staff.
- Strong written communications to produce project scopes and sales proposals.
- Self-motivation and organisational discipline.
Essential Experience
- Considerable experience working with Microsoft 365 and Azure in a technical consulting role with a focus on security, identity, and device management technologies.
- Solution design or technical architecture expertise delivering enterprise technology projects.
- A proven track record providing guidance to consulting teams that allows them to execute against customer requirements.
Preferred Experience
- Scoping and design of Office 365 migration projects.
- A working knowledge of the Microsoft Defender product range and Microsoft Sentinel.
- Working in a sales team or with sales processes.
- Microsoft certifications MS500 , AZ500 or SC200
