CodiKoat's solutions can be used within the healthcare sector, hospitality industry and public transport, dramatically reducing the transfer of viruses and bacteria both during the COVID-19 pandemic but also thereafter.
Job Overview
Codikoat seeks to hire an experienced Microbiologist who is analytical, motivated, resourceful and can manage multiple projects simultaneously. You will report to the Research Director and work directly with our commercial partners and clinical teams across the UK. We are looking for an individual with broad experience of Microbiological research in particular mycology.
Job description
Essential skills:
● A PhD in microbiology or related discipline
● Good experience in aseptic microbiology techniques and working in containment level 2.
● Understanding and knowledge of ISO and ASTM standards.
● Analysing samples, adhering to controlled methods and procedures while being able to develop in-house protocols in line with the relevant ISO/ASTM standards to aid the high volume of sample screening.
● Analysing and evaluating techniques and processes.
● Providing specialist expertise as well as troubleshooting skills.
● Ideal for someone with relevant qualifications looking to broaden their skills and to gain industry experience in a rapidly growing company.
Desirable skills:
● Theoretical and practical knowledge of fungal research.
● Previous experience within an industrial microbiology laboratory
● A good knowledge of cell culture and maintenance would be highly advantageous.
The position will be based in Haverhill, Cambridge.
