Part-time – 29.5 hours per week
Fixed term contract until 30th April 2024
Location flexible (with at least fortnightly visits to Swindon office)
Salary: Pro-rata £32,500 – £42,000 depending on skills and experience

MAN Financial Services are the preferred funding partner for MAN Truck & Bus throughout the UK and in Ireland, responsible for financing in excess of 3000 trucks, vans and coaches per annum (£180m new business).
Reporting to the MFS Head of Operations, the key responsibility will be to deliver a class leading service in handling and underwriting new business retail and corporate finance applications for the MAN Financial Services portfolio.
The role requires the preparation of annual credit applications for VWFS retail and corporate customers, including new and renewal applications. This requires Risk department involvement and be carried out in accordance with both Head Office and VWFSUK Risk regulations.
To be successful in this role you must have previous asset finance lending experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Complete retail and corporate credit finance applications in a timely and consistent manner within the unit’s agreed mandates and commercial policies.
- Preparation of credit lines reviews for new and existing corporate customers - including accounts analysis, rating and review form completion.
- Preparation and recommendation of annual and diarised credit line reviews for all customers within individual mandate as required.
- Monitor customer performance in accordance with requirements of the latest credit review and agreed procedures
- Develop and maintain key relationships the Business Development Managers.
- Ensure key controls are followed in order to protect the interests of the company.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and support key initiatives and projects championed by the MFS Head of Operations.
- Carry out external customer visits in support of applications as directed by the MFS Head of Operations.
- Liaise with VWFS Fleet in respect of applications as appropriate.
- Coaching and development of other team members.
- Carry out other duties as required by the MFS Head of Operations
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Thorough knowledge of Financial Services and/or asset finance industry
- An understanding of Balance Sheets, analysis of ratios and securities.
- Ability to understand and interpret financial information
- Strong customer service orientation
- Well-developed communication skills
- Proven negotiating skills at a senior management level
- Proven customer relationship management ability
- Ability to demonstrate a highly persuasive telephone technique
- Ability to cope with pressure and meet deadlines
