Role
We are recruiting for a Trainee Polymer Plate Maker on a full time and permanent basis.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the team in Bury.
Experienced Plater makers may also be considered.
Responsibilities
We are looking for someone to train as a Polymer Plate Maker at our site in Bury. By the end of their 2 year training period they will be responsible for:
The creation of Photopolymer plates to the specifications described in the company MIS and Quality systems.- Ensuring with other team members that all production deadlines are met.
- Adhere to the company’s quality manual, specifications and procedures.
- Communicate to your line manager any problems found regarding previous production areas or supplied information
- When required to work within other production areas to ensure deadlines are met.
- To work closely with your line manager and assist where ever possible.
- Accurate recording of all time and materials used using company MIS systems
- To constantly look to improve quality and practices for the department.
- To be available for regular overtime i.e. extended days and weekends.
- To actively pursue you’re on development within SGK Bury.
- Adhere to health and safety policy, and other requirements relating to care of equipment.
Experience
Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
Good levels of numeracy, accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Self-starter who is capable of working on own initiative.
Hours
Monday to Friday either 6am- 2pm or 2pm to 10pm. Rotating shift pattern.
