Position Summary:

This is a position within Lunn’s that offers the successful candidate an opportunity to play a key role in developing the Watch, Jewellery and Gem Ring business throughout Lunn’s.

To plan, control and monitor the purchase, intake and distribution of merchandise in order to maximise sales and profit in the assigned departments.

The role will have a particular emphasis on watch brands, monitoring watch sales registrations, aligning Lunn’s & Brand/Supplier records, core stock replenishments, and strong administration skills.

Core Accountabilities

  • Working with buying/stock reports to ensure effective and efficient, watch, jewellery, gem ring and associated product, buying across the business.
  • Identifying stock gaps and maintain/update core ranges for each brand/category. This will include placing of orders and qualification of received orders.
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with selected Brands/Suppliers, whilst supporting Buyers on overall Supplier/Brand relationships.
  • In-depth knowledge of all Brand/Supplier portals.
  • Monitoring watch sales registrations, reporting discrepancies to the Watch Manager/Buyer and shop managers.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Brand/Supplier stock reconciliation
  • Communicate new products to marketing and sales teams.
  • Work with the HR & Training Manager to assist in required training on all brands/suppliers.
  • Feed into internal communications (such as Shine/Watch Bulletin).
  • Core stock replenishment and/or rebalance daily, weekly, monthly.
  • Ensure on time delivery from suppliers.
  • Identify production and/or supply difficulties and deal with problems or delays as they arise.
  • Identifies and reacts to sales trends (weekly/monthly) in order to chase sales and expand the potential of best sellers. Propose repeat buys and pull forward deliveries for committed product as required. Rebalance stocks between stores where necessary.

  • Introduction to Lunn’s reports, brand and supplier portals to assist with stock holding and buying.
  • Lunn’s internal stock system (Encore).
  • Margins, profitability, and stock turn.
  • Market awareness/trends.
