Junior Merchandiser:
Daniel Footwear is a British born, Branded footwear, clothing and accessories company. First established in 1993, Daniel Footwear is home to an extensive collection of designer shoes, bags and accessories. Featuring a host of iconic designer brands and world-renowned fashion labels.
Due to continued growth and success, we are currently recruiting for a Junior Merchandiser to join our growing team. You will work closely with the Allocator, supporting the wider team to maximise product profitability through effective forecasting, sales analysis & stock management. You will help to ensure stock is in the right place at the right time to maximise availability & sell through whilst minimising markdown spend. You will play a pivotal part in providing weekly, seasonal & ad hoc reports & analysis to support decision making.
Key Responsibilities of a Junior Merchandiser:
- Provide weekly reporting of current sales data, including summaries of all key performance indicators alongside line level detail across all categories
- Analyse sales data to allow for issues & trends to be identified
- Support Head of Merchandising and the Allocator in providing accurate historical analysis at the required level
- Support Buying counterparts in data collation to facilitate the construction of optimum ranges
- Support with third party warehouse and importing
- Keep a keen eye on product performance, supporting Head of Merchandising and the Allocator in monitoring slow sellers & recognising best-sellers
- Ensure markdowns are live in the system & liaise with multi-channel teams
- Monitor stock movement in and out of the business, supporting the logistics team in actioning any changes required
- Manage internal stock transfers to ensure bulk & pick locations are optimised for all channels
- Responsible for creation of all purchase orders in line with the business-critical path
- Support our multi-channel teams to ensure effective trading on their corresponding platforms
Required Skills of Junior Merchandiser:

- Excellent analytical and numerical skills
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
- Strong listening & presentation skills
- Advanced knowledge of Excel
The role of the Junior Merchandiser is a full-time permanent position
