The Merchandising team plays a critical role in driving our product trade, ensuring we have the right product available at the right time and place. Working alongside our Buying team, they oversee the entire product buy process, managing the supply chain from suppliers to our stores. They stay up-to-date with market trends, analyze sales data, and monitor stock levels to keep our product critical path on track.

The Commercial Team includes Buying, Merchandising, Sourcing, Technical, and Design.

As a Merchandising Assistant, you'll support your Merchandiser in the end-to-end range build and ongoing trading of our department. You should be extremely organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about our products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Critical Path Management: You'll be responsible for planning the critical path for your department for all new range launches, marketing, and promotional activities. You'll ensure that all key milestones are hit on time and update the team weekly.
  • Raise and Maintain Purchase Orders: You'll raise and maintain purchase orders and ensure that the system accurately reflects intake. You'll challenge any delays and understand their impact on availability.
  • Allocation Planning: You'll plan future and current allocations, raise allocations after gaining sign-off, involve key stakeholders (Warehouse Capacity Team, Store Operations, and update the Bulletin).
  • Stock Reporting: You'll complete weekly stock reporting and identify risks and actions to your Merchandiser.
  • Availability: You'll assist the Merchandising team in planning department line-cards and develop strong working relationships with suppliers.
