At Twyford Support we provide a Supported Living & Housing Service committed to improving the quality of life for those with mental health difficulties. Our fully inclusive support services seek to equip people with the skills, confidence and capability to maintain an independent and healthy lifestyle, regardless of their background by helping them to reach stability and move towards an independent and positive lifestyle.
Everything we do at Twyford Support is centered around each of our service users, as a growing service we have part-time permanent and bank vacancies, we are looking for people to join our team who have an understanding and appreciation for our dedication to improving the quality of life for individuals with mental health needs.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Learn about service user’s specific needs and provide help in the most appropriate way. Adhere to meet the needs of support plans and overall views of support in place.
- Enable service users to self-manage their personal and domestic resources and to undertake activities of daily living.
- Support service users in achieving independence in all areas of their life by providing appropriate information, opportunity, training, counselling and support.
- Encourage those living with mental illness to recognise, understand and manage factors that affect their mental well-being and physical health.
- Assist service users with their medical and welfare needs whilst complying with all medicine policies, including storage, support and record keeping.
- Assist in developing, implementing and reviewing support plans and other necessary paperwork.
- To monitor and report to senior staff on the effectiveness of support delivery.
- Maintain a safe, clean and enjoyable environment to live and work in.
- Provide emotional and practical support to service users.
- Undertake duties consistent with the overall purpose of the post as directed by Service Managers.
Requirements:
Experience of providing support to people living with mental illness; or experience of providing care and/or support services within another social care setting, either paid or voluntary.
- Excellent communication, organisational and team working skills.
- A genuine desire to make a real difference in people’s lives.
- UK driving license & access to your own vehicle.
- The right to live and work in the UK.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends (based on rota requirements)

Shift Times & Hours:
- AM Shift - 9AM - 1PM
- PM Shift - 5PM - 9PM
