Job description
We are looking for:
- 1 bank support worker for night shifts (8pm-8am) Tuesdays and Thursdays required.
Our Supported Living Service offers on-site support for up to 13 male residents with menatl health needs, who are being rehabilitated and prepared for independent living.
The role of Mental Health Support Worker will include:
- Lone working
- Regular key working and support planning to ensure relevant support is provided for our clients
- Administering medication
- Enabling and encouraging our clients to maximise their own potential and level of independence
- Assessing clients’ needs by writing and updating support plans, and completing risk assessments online
Working with statutory and non-statutory agencies on behalf of the residents, actively encouraging choice and involvement, acting as an advocate when required Sourcing innovative solutions to problems that allow clients’ independence to be enhanced
Skills and experiences:
- Experience of working with people who have mental health needs
- Experience in admenistering medication
- Excellent communication and listening skills
- The ability to work on your own initiative
- Experience working within a Supported Living environment is desirable
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel or similar
