Hourly: £11.85 - £22.85
*These pay rates are subject to seasonal incentives and may change*

The Role:
Adhoc shifts to be sent to various wards that have particularly vulnerable patients with mental health issues.
What you'll be responsible for:
To provide care and support to service users within the clinical team in line with their recovery care plan under the direction and supervision of the Line Manager/Assistant Practitioner/Registered nursing staff
· To contribute to the assessment of service users needs
· To contribute to the care planning and review process for individual service users
· To assist with the collection of health screening samples as requested, e.g. urine screening, breathalysing, pregnancy testing under the supervision of the registered nursing staff
· To promote health and well being at all times and support service users to address their physical and mental health needs (e.g. drug & alcohol use, diet, depression, anxiety, relationships, housing, education, training, and employment) in line with their care plan under the direction and supervision of the Line Manager/Senior Practitioner/registered nursing staff on duty
· To contribute to the updating of service users records to inform the assessment, care planning and review process
You’ll have the following qualification/experience:
· A minimum of 6 months paid experience as a band 3 Mental Health Support Worker in NHS/Private hospital setting along with a NCQ or Care Certificate and PMVA/MAPA Certification
· A minimum of 12 months paid experience as a band 3 Care Support Worker in a NHS/Private hospital setting.
*Depending on the Trust, you may require variable additional certification and skills.
