This role is located in a 6 bedded shared provision for adults with a mental health diagnosis and additional complex needs (such as addiction or forensic histories)
We are looking for entry level candidates who may have recently graduated in the field of Psychology or related subjects and are looking for their first job opportunity to gain experience (perhaps ahead of further study or clinical work), and/or support workers with some work experience already who are looking to join a new company and progress their career in social care.

We are looking for candidates that are keen to learn and apply theory to practice, possess a passion for mental health work, are flexible in committing to their working hours (as it is not a 9-5 job!) and have an understanding of empowerment and enabling our service users to live the most independent lives.
We will train you to best support our service users via individual support plans, therapeutic interventions and risk management skills so you can make a positive contribution to their recovery and positive move-on.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Direct Work with Service Users & Family Members
1.1 To ensure that service users are treated with respect and dignity at all times and to build positive and constructive working relationships with clear and professional boundaries.
1.2 To undertake Key Worker responsibilities for a designated number of service users.
1.3 To provide an induction and on-going support to service users ensuring that they understand all their rights, responsibilities and entitlements
1.4 To manage and administer medication to all service users according to their individual medication management plan
1.5 To conduct comprehensive and detailed Assessments of service user needs and risk management
1.6 To provide personal care as required
1.7 Working with the Multi-Disciplinary Team & other External Agencies
1.8 To attend and contribute to professional appointments with the service user and other formal meetings such as CPA’s, placement reviews, discharge planning meetings and so forth.
1.9 to liaise with external agencies such as education, employment and training providers, leisure, recreational, health and other services etc to support the service user to access and engage with services as agreed as part of their Support Plan objectives.
Candidates must be able to work across a 7-day rota on a 37 hour weekly contract. Overtime hours are available.
