Job description
We are looking to recruit up to 5 experienced Mental Health First Aid instructors to join our team of sessional MHFA trainers.
To apply you must have been trained as an MHFA instructor through Croydon’s Community MHFA programme, and completed (or have booked a date over the summer 2023 for) the refresher training course to ensure you are up to date with the latest MHFA requirements.
You would be joining a small friendly team to deliver MHFA training and support new community MHFA instructors. You will be expected to support the MHFA programme coordinator with the course preparation and organisation.
Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate:
- Evidence of having delivered one ‘free’ two-day MHFA courses per year on behalf of the Croydon MHFA programme
- Having delivered at least one course following MHFA competency sign off. Evidence of positive feedback required.
Experience in using the MHFA England Dashboard, Enabley, Zoom and excel is essential.
There will be a regular requirement to train in the evenings and at the weekends.
We are only delivering online training at this time but this may change.
Payscale: Council Grade 10. Trainers are paid 15 hours for the delivery of a two day course and 6 hours pay for the delivery of a refresher training course.
