Job Title: Mental Health Care Support Worker (band 3)

Trust Location:_ Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust, Older Adult Mental Health Inpatient Unit – Amber Ward_

Pay rates: Days: £13.33, Saturdays/Nights: £18.00, Sundays/Bank Holidays:£22.54

What you'll be responsible for:

· To work as a member of the ward team to provide basic patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse

· To assist in the other ward team and department duties (including administration) as directed by the Registered Nurse

· As a member of the nursing team you are expected to demonstrate attitudinal competence through a professional, approachable and helpful manner towards clients, their families and carers, visitors and colleagues throughout the organisation. You are also expected to actively support high standards of care delivery and challenge poor practice should you find it.

· Promote patient dignity and privacy.

You’ll have the following qualification/experience:

· A minimum of 6 months paid experience as a band 3 Mental Health Care Support Worker in a NHS/Private hospital setting along with a NCQ or Care Certificate.

· A minimum of 12 months paid experience as a band 3 Mental Health Care Support Worker in a NHS/Private hospital setting.

*Depending on the Trust, you may require variable additional certification and skills.
