In the Langland Medical Strategy & Education (MSE) team, we love reality, it’s where we live. It’s where professionals, protocols and p-values come face to face with the imperfect and unpredictable. We are currently looking to hire collaborative, strategic and proactive individuals to join our incredibly talented and close-knit team of medical writers. As a Medical Writer I, you will play an integral role in the development and delivery of high-quality medical education programmes, whilst experiencing a myriad of personal and professional development opportunities.
The work we do is creative and varied, covering a broad range of therapy areas. With guidance and support from senior writers, your role responsibilities will include:
- Creating scientific and creative content within timelines and budget, ensuring the high quality, scientific accuracy, creativity and integrity of own work
- Developing a good understanding of assigned therapy areas and proactively remaining up to date with emerging trends and advances in the field
- Undertaking fact and reference checking of other’s work to ensure accuracy and validity of content
- Interacting directly with clients on content developed
- Providing research and content support for new business initiatives as needed
- Applying a good understanding of the relevant codes of practice and ensuring compliance in content development
- A talent for writing
- Good at understanding and communicating complex science (you must hold a bachelor’s degree in the life sciences [2:1 or above] and ideally a master’s degree or PhD)
- Ability to assimilate, interpret and re-communicate medical/scientific topics
- Can develop strong relationships –based on exceptional verbal, as well as written, communication abilities –and comfortable providing advice and guidance to others
- Effective time management and prioritisation skills
