THE BIG PICTURE:
The VCCP Partnership is an integrated communications agency set up in 2002 by Charles (V), Rooney (C), Adrian (C) and Ian (P), who founded the agency on the principles of simplicity, collaboration, un-preciousness and integration around ideas rather than channels. Their founding client was BT Cellnet, now more commonly known as O2 and the most awarded brand in IPA effectiveness history.
Across the Partnership, we work with a broad spectrum of clients from O2 and CompareTheMarket to easyJet, Walkers, Dominos, and Cadbury. Our work transcends the marketing mix, leading everything from social media or launch campaigns to DM and web build.
We also provide very senior strategic planning for clients, customer journey mapping, and helping clients to envision their future business, beyond just communications.

THE MEDICAL WRITING TEAM
Our medical writing team plays a fundamental role within the agency, working with strategic planners on scientific strategy, and then working closely with our creative and digital teams on an extensive range of projects. Our work is varied including a mix of Rx, biotech, health service companies, and animal health.
We currently work in the following therapy areas: respiratory, oncology, neurology, diabetes, dermatology, cardiovascular, and medical devices.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
As a Medical Writer, you will join the VCCP Health team in London. You will work across a range of accounts, reporting to the Scientific Team Lead and working closely with the medical team, copywriters, and other internal teams to generate interesting, compliant, medically accurate work that is appropriately formatted and suitable for use across different media. You will add value and ensure that the work is following the brief and is of high quality. Working with the Accounts team, you will present your work to clients and ensure good communication with all internal and external teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and maintain a good knowledge of the therapeutic areas that are assigned to you
- Generate high-quality, strategically aligned, scientifically accurate, ABPI-compliant work that meets client briefs
- Develop strong working relationships with colleagues and clients
- Follow and drive internal and external processes
- Oversee projects from conception to delivery, ensuring highest standards are maintained throughout
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- A BSc or higher in the life sciences with relevant medical writing experience within medical communications, pharmaceutical marketing, or a related environment
- Ability to work across multiple therapeutic areas and managing own workload
- Proven ability to work under pressure
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- High attention to detail is a must
- Excellent and proven organisational skills
- Comfortable liaising with internal teams and confident to present externally to clients
- Familiarity with ABPI guidelines, Zinc, and/or Veeva Promomats
- Excellent skills in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat
