About the Trust
Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust provides hospital-based services from three main sites - the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch, Kidderminster Hospital and Treatment Centre, and Worcestershire Royal Hospital in Worcester.
We provide a wide range of services to a population of 580,000 people in Worcestershire as well as caring for patients from surrounding counties and further afield.
What you’ll be responsible for:
· Assist in providing a secretarial service to the nine full-time Consultant Histopathologists.
· Opening and distribution of incoming mail, identifying areas where appropriate action can be taken before passing on to the Consultant Histopathologists.
· Action and management of emails received to the generic cellpath email account.
· Maintaining filing systems and use of photocopier and fax.
The role will involve, but not be limited to you performing the above
You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust:
· An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
· Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times
· A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation
You’ll have the following skills/experience:
· Excellent communication skills
· Excellent organisational skills
· Knowledge of Microsoft Packages e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
· Previous experience in a similar role.
· Previous typing experience. (Desirable)
