It’s an exciting time to be joining us, as we are continue our partnership with Sainsburys. We are looking for you to join us as our highly skilled General Manager , leading and holding accountability for two London locations, servicing over 400 stores. With your drive, determination and passion for colleague safety/wellbeing, engagement and development, along with customer relationships through growth and operational improvement with innovation, your experience will be highly utilised within this opportunity to join our senior team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the site leadership teams in defining strategic, operational, and commercial objectives, supporting the implementation of the business strategy ensuring that our own function’s objectives are aligned with the Group’s strategic objectives.
- Develop and coach the team to deliver our strategic goals and targets, ensuring succession planning and development are at the core of everything we do for future growth.
- Leading and supporting the delivery of the people plan for sites driving an inclusive and engaging culture of putting colleagues first and developing our people and future leaders
- Lead growth through our customer partnership, whilst holding a laser focused vision on cost effective decision making for a fixed budget.
- Ensure that a high-performance culture is developed and maintained across the site(s), delivering efficiency and operational excellence; continuously meeting performance and productivity targets on a consistent basis.
- Accountable for the delivery of all contractual KPI’s and budget requirements across all sites.
- Ensure that a best-in-class HSE performance is achieved within the sites and that a culture of safety in everything we do is embedded.
- Challenge the status quo and debate strategic issues and CI opportunities to support improved business performance and growth.
What will you bring to our team?
- Proven senior logistics management experience in compliance focused operations and delivered results for large scale customers
- Proven track record in delivering innovative performance improvements and operational excellence through team and engagement
- Demonstrable exemplary customer and stakeholder relationship management skills with the flexibility in style and approach, with excellent interpersonal skills to influence and lead challenging conversations in the right way
- Excellent commercial acumen – understanding the dynamics of ‘open book’ contracts with a budget framework that needs to be achieved.
- Agile approach to strategy and planning with a proven experience of adapting operational plans to changing customer requirements whilst also achieving a commercial benefit.
- Understands team dynamics and composition and applies knowledge to develop high performing teams.
