As a Medical Secretary you will be responsible for providing confidential and efficient administrative support to Registered Clinicians and the medical team. From managing their diaries, planning meetings, and arranging travel arrangements to drafting correspondence and updating records, you will be able to turn your hand to any admin related task.

- Supporting the Medical team with administrative tasks, handling and production of confidential and highly sensitive documentation and diary management
- Supporting the Registered Clinician with letters and general documentation
- Supporting all meetings as minute taker as requested chaired by the Medical Director, SMT or ad hoc
- Co-ordinating the hospital diary and the whereabouts of the clinician
- Booking meetings and arranging conference calls
- Dealing with patients and relatives, exercising common sense and good judgement to analyse complex situations
- Supporting the Consultant/s and their team/s in ensuring all appropriate typing work is efficiently outsourced and returned, then subsequently dispatched following signature
- Undertaking administrative duties in connection with audit and research as appropriate.
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- An understanding of medical terminology
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Interpersonal Skills
- The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Minute taking and audio typist experience
- Experience using Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint
