We are seeking highly motivated, quality-driven individuals who are looking for an opportunity to receive in depth training in the constantly evolving, highly specialized field of hemostasis. Enjoy benefits frequently not available in the health care setting: a low employee-to-supervisor ratio; paid time off for six recognized holidays; limited to no regular scheduling on weekends; and an extensive benefits package.

This is a great opportunity to get targeted one-on-one training and hands on experience that will help the individual grow their career within the clinical laboratory field!

The schedule for this position will be:

  • Evenings or nights, this is NOT a dayshift role.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay): a plate based assay technique designed for detecting and quantifying proteins and antibodies
  • Perform analytical testing on patient samples in a highly complex hemostasis laboratory
  • This position will work independently (1 assay/1 Technician) and will be responsible for the structure of their day
  • Set up analyzers and make reagents
  • Interpret results, subject to verification by Technologist/Supervisor, and providing allowance by State regulations
  • Evaluate samples to determine appropriateness of patient results in the setting of sample matrix, anticoagulant status, and clinical relevance
  • Comply with all regulatory and department standard operating procedures.
  • Participate in all quality aspects of our CAP and ISO 15189 accredited laboratory operation
  • Multitasking, pipetting and technical skills and time management are all keys to success in the ELISA department

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, or similar life science discipline
  • Previous experience working in a clinical lab setting preferred, but not required
  • Ability to work independently and critically assess one’s own work
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot a process based on an established procedure
  • Strong time-management skills

Benefits: All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data. Regular, full-time or part-time employees working 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(K), ESPP, Paid time off (PTO) or Flexible time off (FTO), Commissions, and Company bonus where applicable.
