Medical Secretary for Priory Hospital Altrincham based in Hale, Manchester
22.5 hours over 3 days
The Priory Hospital – Altrincham is part of the Priory Group, Europe’s leading provider of specialist treatment in mental health. The hospital has an established reputation for providing the highest standards of care together with an extensive range of clinical services. The hospital has residential facilities for 50 patients as well as day care and outpatient services.
We are looking to recruit a highly motivated and committed Medical Secretary to provide efficient, professional and effective secretarial and administrative support our Consultant Psychiatrists in addition to providing general secretarial cover across the medical secretary team.
Please note this vacancy is based in Hale, Manchester and not in Hale, Liverpool.

What you need to apply
Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential in handling both external and internal enquiries and applying appropriate prioritisation. You must also have a flexible approach to problem solving and will be able to cope with the demands of a range of priorities and deadlines
- Experience in the use of Microsoft word, excel and other databases is essential
- Minimum of one year’s experience within an administrative, clinical or other appropriate background
- An understanding of medical terminology is desirable.
