UCL Medical School (UCLMS) is committed to excellence in undergraduate and postgraduate education and has a strong reputation for teaching and curriculum development, informed by cutting-edge research.
UCLMS is currently reviewing its whole curriculum in order to take account of the changing landscape within the NHS and medical education, the use of information technology within education and the NHS and incorporating the forthcoming GMC Medical Licensing Assessment. UCLMS is therefore looking to recruit a Clinical Lecturer (Teaching) to support the process of reviewing and revising the current curriculum and developing a strategy for its implementation from 2026 onwards.
About the role
The Clinical Lecturer (Teaching) will be a clinician with good experience and knowledge of medical education and who has an enthusiasm for embedding a culture of scholarship, excellence and innovation into our undergraduate programme.
The post holder will work with other Clinical Lecturers (Teaching) within the department to provide ongoing support for existing medical education projects, teaching, scholarship and curriculum redesign and development.
Appointment details:
- The post is graded on the clinical staff Pay Scale Grade 8, the annual salary for which ranges from £48,705 - £69,584 (including London Allowance).
- The appointment is available asap and is funded for 3 years in the first instance.
About you
The postholder will need to have a primary medical qualification and full GMC registration alongside a postgraduate qualification in education or equivalent experience.
The postholder will have experience and knowledge of curriculum design, development and methodology.
