About the role:
We are seeking a Medical Records Assistant to support the Medical Records department by processing record requests, scanning files and providing overall support in the office. This is a great entry level role for any candidates seeking exposure in the healthcare industry.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Under general supervision from the Medical Records Supervisor, the Medical Records Assistant will do the following:
1. Process all medical record requests in a timely manner.
2. Import medical records into appropriate patient chart
3. Maintain appropriate records and files.
4. Responsible as needed for moving file boxes weighing approximately up to 20 lbs.
5. Responsible for moving newly received supplies and boxes as needed in the Center.
6. Handles and routes incoming/outgoing mail.
7. Duplicates, collates and distributes materials.
8. Assists with mailings and other large scale collating projects.
9. Maintains appropriate levels of paper in the copier, printers and fax machines while also maintaining an adequate supply of paper.
10. Acts as courier when needed.
11. Types simple memos, correspondence, forms, labels, etc.
12. Tracks office supplies and prepares requests for orders.
13. Perform simple data entry functions.
14. Conforms to applicable HIPAA, billing compliance and safety guidelines.
15. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
