Medical Receptionist- Part time We are recruiting for a Part Time Receptionist/ Call handler to join a Milton Keynes based surgery. The role will require you to be predominantly on the phones and booking appointments for patients. The successful candidate will have previous experience in a customer service setting, with the ability to pick up new systems quickly. Hours: Monday to Friday Varied shifts of 7:30am - 1:30pm and 12:30pm- 6:30pm (must be available for both) 30 hours per week Salary: £10.50 per hour (temp to perm) The job will involve... Booking appointments for patients, both face to face and over the phone Using SystemOne (no experience required) Supporting colleagues to maintain an efficient and friendly team atmosphere. Dealing with general enquiries from patients and visitors in a helpful and efficient manner Greeting patients, doctors, and visitors at Reception in a polite and friendly manner Answering the telephone promptly and courteously Making appointments using the computerised appointments system Assisting patients to complete new registration forms. Assisting with any other administration required The Person will... Have previous experience as a receptionist or in a customer service-focussed role (required) Be able to pick up new systems and ways of working quickly. Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Have the ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment Have a keen eye for detail. Be able to work to strict deadlines but also have a flexible approach to their work.
