Medical Receptionist/Care Navigator
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a part-time Care Navigator, to join a well-organised two site GP practice based in the North of Doncaster.
The position is for approximately 25 hours per week but may include some early morning and/or late nights on a rota basis.
Previous experience of working as a GP Receptionist or call handler is desirable but not essential. Main duties are:
· Booking patient appointments in person or over the phone
· signposting patients to alternative services or information sources
· dealing with patient queries in person or over the phone
· administration duties and data entry
The candidate must be:
- friendly and understanding
- patient and caring
- good at working as part of a team or on own initiative
- willing to take responsibility for a number of duties and able to cover in the absence of other colleagues
No formal qualifications are required but will need to demonstrate;
· Good numeracy, literacy and IT skills
· Good communication skills with a polite and personable manner
The successful candidate will work on a variety of computer packages including Word, Excel and our current medical system EMIS WEB.
