Job description Secretarial and Administration
Contract Type Permanent (37.5 hours per week pro rata basis)
The successful applicant must have excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate with medical and nursing personnel and other clerical staff and the general public.
Responsibilities
Check patients into the practice at front desk, Processing Prescriptions, Electronic filing, data entry, Typing and telephone duties, Processing Mail, Follow all practice protocols and procedures. Health and safety and maintaining confidentiality.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Criteria
5 GCSE’s at grade C (or equivalent) or above to include Maths and English.
Excellent Communication Skills
Excellent customer service skills and telephone manner
Proven experience of dealing with members of the public at the ‘front desk’.
Dealing with members of the public by telephone.
Understanding of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the importance of confidentiality.
Proficient in the use of MS Office software, email and the internet – experience using Vision clinical system would be an advantage
Proven history of learning and adhering to policies and processes
The ability to work to deadlines, work in a fast-paced environment with an attention to detail
They must adhere to strict confidentiality polices and absolute discretion with regards to patients and colleagues. You will be interacting with people from every walk of life you must be a good communicator and an excellent team player.
