Main duties of the job
To provide both the technical and administrative support in data entry and processing of a variety of patient samples within the Centre.
- To book in clinical samples on the departmental database system
- To interact with service users, both by telephone and in person as and when required.
- To support senior laboratory and other clinical staff within the NAC, ensuring that a high quality diagnostic results are generated in a timely and efficient manner.
- To work within defined standards, protocols, policies and procedures including Health and Safety regulations for laboratory area, to ensure safe working procedures, health and safety of other staff and visitors to the department and maintain the highest level of service at all times.
- To be responsible for personal ongoing training as required, ensuring skills /competencies are maintained.
- To assist in monitoring quality control procedure, check the trends and report to the quality manager.
