Berkshire & Surrey Pathology Services - (A joint venture with Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust , Royal Surrey County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Ashford & St Peters Hospitals NHS Trust, Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust and Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust).

PURPOSE OF JOB:
The post holder will be based in Blood Sciences section providing comprehensive support Blood Sciences department.

The post holder will be rotating through all departments within blood sciences. Duties include assisting in the preparation of analytical work for Blood Sciences Department across a range of scientific disciplines under the supervision of a Registered Biomedical Scientist

Ensures accurate stock records are maintained and process stock delivery.

The post holder is expected to cover 24/7 shift in Blood Sciences and will consist of consecutive nights.

The post holder will liaise closely with the line manager in providing a high-quality technical service that builds on the standards defined by the UKAS and ISO 15189:2012. They will be expected to develop and maintain close working relationships with all grades of staff both technical and medical to ensure the effective delivery of the technical service.
