Job description
We are looking for a full time, well-motivated and enthusiastic person to join our team as a Medical Laboratory Assistant. Previous laboratory experience would be an advantage however training appropriate to the role will be available. Applicants with an accredited Biomedical Science are encourage to apply.
You will work as part of a dedicated team in the Haematology Department. The job mainly involves the preparation of blood samples for testing and the loading and unloading of specimens onto the automated analysers.
Preference will be given to applicants with keyboard skills, a reasonable standard of literacy and an interest in science in healthcare. The ability to communicate well and work as part of a team will be important. Flexibility in hours is essential and weekend work will be required
