Job description
College course work from an accredited institution as approved and accepted by the University of South Alabama may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
- Manages all phases of the creation of the academic course schedule to include conducting schedule training for new schedulers and annual training for returning schedulers.
- Prepares training material.
- Enters and monitors course data.
- Ensures accuracy of all course listings to include comments, fee codes, drop/add dates, restrictions, pre-requisites, reserved seats, course descriptions, and other course specifics by auditing all information against the University Bulletin.
- Monitors and reports or scheduling.
- Maintains electronic file of requested schedule changes.
- Answers registration questions for students and staff.
- Monitors departmental email account.
- Adheres to student confidentiality rights as legislated with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) of 1974 in handling academic records and responding to third party requestors.
- Ensures accuracy and compliance with University requirements to maintain academic integrity.
- Interacts by phone, email, and in person with faculty, students, and staff.
- Must be able to lift boxes weighing up to 30 lbs.
- Attends special events that may require working nights and weekends.
- Regular and prompt attendance.
- Ability to work schedule as defined and overtime as required.
- Related duties as required.
