Medical Scribe
Azzolino Chiropractic Neurology & Integrative Wellness has an immediate opening for a full-time, experienced Medical Scribe. We are an integrative clinic with an internationally respected team of Chiropractic Neurologists, Naturopathic Doctors, and support staff. We are seeking a professional with the potential of performing at the same caliber. This is an energetic, positive, and exciting office requiring the addition of a talented, personable team player to our successful practice.
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and service skills
- Excellent history-taking and scribing skills
- Medical office experience
- Computer proficiency
- Degree in medical assistance
- Capable of working in a fast-paced environment
- Quick learner
- Previous medical assistant experience in Urgent Care, ER, or as an EMT is a plus.
- We are looking for a long-term team member and require a minimum 2-year commitment.
Responsibilities:
- Interview patients and document detailed medical history
- Organize and schedule appointments
- Update and file medical records and reports
- Arrange laboratory services
- Check with patients and type up patients charts
- Assist during medical examinations; scribe
- Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes, and forms
- Handle receivable and payable accounts and keep financial records
- Prepare and clean treatment rooms and examination instruments
- Perform assessments and take vitals
- Guide patients in performing brain-based therapy exercises
Skills:
- Proven working experience as a medical assistant or medical secretary
- Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Social perceptiveness and service oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software
