Job description
Southern Coast Spine and Pain Specialists is a growing company with multiple offices between Beaufort, Hampton & Summerville.
We are looking for a Medical Assistant to join our team and provide assistance in our pain management procedure room. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative and clinical support to our medical staff, completing inventory of the clinical supplies, prepping the procedure room, including taking patient histories, assisting with patient exams, and providing instruction on medications and treatments. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others and a commitment to providing quality care.
Responsibilities:
- Assembling supplies and equipment required for the procedure;
- Preparing and organizing sterile supplies and instruments for the procedur
- Assisting with placement of sterile drapes
- Providing supplies to the provider during the procedure;
- Maintaining an organized sterile field;
- Ensuring sterility of the field and taking corrective actions as needed.
- Preparing sterile trays
- Assist physicians with patient care.
- Perform basic medical tasks such as taking vital signs, starting IVS.
- Assist in the administration of pain medications and other treatments.
- Maintain patient records and apply for authorizations.
- Answer patient questions regarding their health and medical treatments.
- Schedule appointments and maintain medical records.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
