Assistant Project Manager - Civils / ICP / Utilities
Salary: Up to £35K starting a salary
Location: UK - Multiple locations available
The Opportunity
Storm Associates is delighted to be exclusively working one of the UK's leading ICP providers. They are on the market to bring onboard an experienced civils Project Manager who has experience working in the ICP sector. This will be a crucial role within the business, managing the full turnkey of project delivery.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Support up to 2 Project Managers to actively manage electrical installation and construction projects through to completion.
- Work alongside internal sales, estimating, design & delivery teams, external contractors and suppliers
- Provide a high, always maintained level of customer service to clients
- Document control for project documentation and record keeping
- Ensuring good communication between Projects, Estimating and Delivery team
- Developing and maintaining compelling relationships with all stakeholders
- Actively contributing to continuous process improvements
- Provide relevant performance data to support preparation of weekly and monthly status reports
- Attend weekly/monthly planning and project meetings
Required Skills
- Ability to investigate, resolve and/or escalate client issues/needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships
- Proactive and motivated approach
- Empathetic approach, providing excellent customer service
- Strong IT skills including MS suite
- Ability to multi-task and juggle various projects and clients
- Ability to work as part of a busy team but also be able to work independently and use own initiative to problem solve
- Project management experience is desirable but this would equally suit an individual strong administrative and organizational skills who is looking for the next step in their career
- Knowledge and awareness of continuous improvement within existing and new processes
- Experience within the ICP industry with good understanding of DNO design process is desirable. Experience of working within wider construction industry is required
- Understanding of the DNO/ICP delivery process is desirable
- Experience within the EV/utilities/electrical industries with good knowledge of project lifecycles within this industry
- NVQ Business Administration Level 2 or equivalent would be an advantage
