MyTeam Medical Staffing seeks to place a Medical Assistant/Phone Screener for a clinic in SW Portland. Medical Assistant/Phone Screener can be a new graduate. Medical Assistant/Phone Screener will be a graduate of an accredited Medical Assisting program and possess a current national credential, e.g., CMA (AAMA), RMA (AMT), NCCT NCMA, etc. Clinic is supportive of their employees and looks for ways to ensure success such as extensive training. Position is hybrid. Once training is complete, position will be remote/hybrid with one day a month in office. Must live in the Portland Oregon area.
Key Responsibilities and Functions
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Handle incoming and outgoing telephone calls
- Managing desktop and tasks in the EHR que
- Handle pharmacy refills, questions and concerns
- Handle emails from patients, providers and outside entities
- Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION | TRAINING | EXPERIENCE | CERTIFICATIONS
- A graduate of an accredited MA program - current
- Prefer someone with a current MA national credential, e.g., CMA (AAMA), RMA (AMT), NCCT NCMA, etc.
- Current CPR certification – current
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent
- New graduate acceptable. A minimum of 1-year current physician office or clinic experience preferred but not required
- Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, organization skills and ability to multi-task
