Job description

Responsibilities:

• Under the direction and supervision of a provider or nurse, assists with performing patient care.
• Trained and knowledgeable of medications and the ability to assist with minor procedures. Phlebotomy, EKG, spirometry, insurance, oxygen measurement/testing, injections, accurate vital signs, insurance requirements and home health documentation.

• Performs basic procedures and specimen collection to include swabs, urine collection, lab draw, Covid testing, etc. Documents patient care given.
• Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting. Maintains examination areas.
• Performs administrative or clerical duties as assigned, including reception, scheduling, and patient registration.
• Within scope of job requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Formal Medical Assisting training required from accredited institution
• Registered Medical Assistant preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider. BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $21.50 per hour
