Job description
Horry County Disabilities and Special Needs is a leading provider of services and support to individuals and families with persons with intellectual and related disabilities, head and spinal cord injuries and autism in Conway, South Carolina.
Currently, Horry County Disabilities and Special Needs is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to work under the supervision of the Residential Health Services Coordinator, assures the health needs of consumers in accordance with DHEC and SCDDSN regulations. The position pays $16.50 per hour work and is scheduled to work 40 hours per week. Medical Assistant is offered full benefits to include medical, dental and vision insurance plans; state retirement; paid vacation time, paid sick time and paid holidays.
Applicants must have a valid High School diploma or GED. At least two (2) years of experience working with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities is preferred. Must be a certified medication technician according to DDSN regulation 603-13-DD. Must also possess basic computer knowledge; must possess a basic knowledge of medical conditions. Must have knowledge of client rights and abuse policies.
