Dermatology Medical Assistant (MA)
Full Job Description:
Gulf Coast Medical Center- Dermatology Department offers comprehensive dermatologic care including full-body skin checks, medical dermatology, Mohs surgery, laser treatments and cosmetic services.
We are a growing practice with two locations located in Trinity and Port Richey, Florida.

in dermatologic care.
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
- EMR experience
- Assisting physician with skin exams, biopsies and surgical procedures, including Mohs Surgery
- Patient charting (i.e., scribing patient history, doctor’s diagnosis description and treatment plans,
including prescriptions and patient instructions into patient chart, in detail)
- Excellent patient service and interpersonal skills
- Effective communication skills (written and oral)
- Well-organized
- Ability to manage multiple tasks
- Self-starter and motivated
- Knowledgeable in OSHA and HIPAA compliance
- Knowledge of medical/dermatology terminology and abbreviations
- Medical Assistant, Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse Licensure
- 2+ years of dermatology experience preferred
Job Duties:
- Patient charting in an EMR system
- Returning patient calls
- Logging and maintenance of paths and patient path call backs
- Entering patient demographics and scheduling patients into practice management system
- Managing patient charts for prescriptions, diagnosis, medical records, patient correspondence
- Assist physician with all dermatological MOHS procedures

Pay: Starts at $18.00 per hour
